In general, the use of the Archive is done on the spot by accessing the archive documents in our reading room or consulting the available literature in our reference library. 

Written requests will only be handled for minor information. The replies may be limited to general information on whether there are documents in the State Archives regarding the request. The Archive is unable to execute research requests. We will be able to provide you with addresses of historians and professional genealogists on request.
